Traveling can be stressful! Especially surrounding yourself in a new environment can be daunting and overwhelming. That is why Travel Ready is here to help! Find the best way to travel by hiring your very personal local guide that would keep you safe and engaging throughout your journey!

There must be something better! 

I scoured the internet and App Store thinking there must be something that can help rid this problem. How can we help avid backpackers and travelers that want to avoid the clichĂ© tourist trap and live like the locals without having to worry about safety and language barrier!

Research

Affinity Diagram

From the data we collected through our qualitative research, We created an affinity diagram that represents travel experiences from the early 20s to mid- 50s avid travelers. Additional research portion was conducted via social media by interviewing travel influencers.

Empathy Map

The empathy map navigated our reason to understand our user's potential needs, worries, and wants. Based on this information, We would gather a much-needed foundation for our ideation phase.

Ideation

I like, I wish, What if 

Before creating the prototype for our app, We stretched our minds to come up with something new, fresh, and yet simple to use. Slowly our team and I concluded that we want this app to focus on the theme of "breaking away from the comfort zone."

Feature Prioritization Matrix

From there, we gathered the best ideas and formed a prioritization matrix.

UX Scenario

We created a hypothetical scenario of our user, "Jack" by understand the path for him to use our product to solve the problem he needs.

User Flow

We kept the user flow simple. From our interviews, we found that many of our users wanted an easily accessible mobile application.

Prototype

Keeping up with our theme of minimalism, We wanted our application to be clean and straight to the point.

Wireframe

After few sketches, we took our drawing board to come up with a simple wireframe that can be slowly shape our final prototype.

User Test Analysis 

User test Analysis

Our user test analysis from the wireframe showed us a deep insight into few valuable components of our application. Finally, our team focused narrowed down our focus into safety, simplicity, and user interaction.

VoilĂ ! A final product that keeps users engaged but also easily accessible. Color choice and illustration kept the representation of the "minimalistic" theme of the application.
